How do you build a sampling campaign that can travel the country, work in completely different environments and make every pound of budget work harder?

For Ramona’s Kitchen, we’ve created a flexible UK-wide activation platform built around one very hard-working branded van.

The van gives the brand much more than visibility. It brings personality, creates a recognisable presence wherever it goes and, crucially, gives the team a practical mobile base for sampling – including chilled product storage and food preparation.

That means we can take Ramona’s to:

  • Outdoor festivals and consumer events
  • Universities
  • High streets
  • Outside retail stores
  • Customer head offices and events
  • Exhibitions and shows
  • Sampling locations in pretty much all weathers

And while it travels between activations, the branding continues working – creating visibility on the road right across the UK.

Behind the scenes, we’ve designed the logistics to make a nationwide tour as efficient as possible. The van can collect stock from logistics hubs around the country, reducing unnecessary mileage and helping keep product movement practical and cost-effective.

We also use a core team trained on the brand throughout the year, supported by local Brand Ambassadors and sampling teams in each region. That gives the campaign consistency while avoiding the cost of moving a large team around the UK.

The activation is designed to flex depending on where we are.

A-boards, messaging and branded assets can change according to the environment, audience and offer – whether we’re talking to festival-goers, students, shoppers or a retailer’s own team.

And it doesn’t stop at sampling.

We’ve used the platform to:

  • Drive product trial
  • Grow brand awareness and visibility
  • Support retail customers
  • Drive consumers into store
  • Sell product directly at events and shows
  • Partner with complementary brands, including Boundless
  • Reach different target audiences where they naturally spend time

For indoor B2C events and exhibitions, we’ve also developed a separate indoor kit that carries the same distinctive Ramona’s look and feel, adapted to make the brand stand out in an exhibition environment.

The result is not a series of disconnected activations.

It’s one flexible campaign platform that can work across multiple environments, audiences and objectives throughout the year.

That’s the bit we love: thinking beyond the individual activation and building something that creates maximum value & helps the client’s budget work as hard as possible.
